Colorful home textiles made of industry leftovers! When factories dye yarns to weave textiles, they make some extra—just in case—but they often go unused. The Odds & Ends textiles are designed to get the most out of these remainders, creating unexpected color combinations.

Wild Weave
Wild Weave refers to the original weaving technique and the archetypal tea towel. In this design, a variety of colours come together in an unexpected yet harmonious way.

Checkered Check
Checkered Check is exactly what it sounds like: a check on top of a check. This layered design offers a playful interaction between different yarn remainders used in both the warp and weft.

Basket
Basket brings together a vibrant mix of leftovers, resulting in a colourful splash for your kitchen. The pattern is a fusion of various colour contrasts from colour theory, woven together like a classic basket weave.

Tulip Quilt
Tulip Quilt blends my love for colour, craftsmanship, and heritage. As a hobby quilter, I was inspired by the tulip fields that blanket parts of the Netherlands each spring. This collection of bathroom textiles reflects that inspiration and offers room for a wide range of colourful yarns.

Tea Towel
Our tea towels measure 70 x 50 cm, weigh 250 gms, and come with a hanging loop. Originating in Northern Europe, tea towels are used to dry dishes so they can be put away immediately without a drying rack. Our version is flat-woven on a jacquard loom.

Kitchen Towel
Measuring 50 x 50 cm and weighing 350 gms, our kitchen towels also come with a hanger. Primarily used to dry hands in the kitchen, they are equally useful in the bathroom or toilet.

Multi Cloth
What is a multi-cloth? It’s whatever you need it to be! Use it in the kitchen as a dishcloth or reusable paper towel, in the bathroom as a washcloth or face towel, at the table as a napkin or potholder, or for your baby as a burp cloth or hand wipe on the go. Each cloth measures 30 x 30 cm.

Wash Gloves
This set of two wash gloves—perhaps a Dutch classic, but practical anywhere—slides easily over your hands. Add soap and use it in the shower or at the sink to freshen up. They help you save water, energy, and time. Each glove measures 15 x 21 cm and weighs 420 gms.

Beach Towel
Our 90 x 180 cm beach towel is terry-woven on a jacquard loom and made from extra heavy 550 gms cotton. It’s soft, absorbent, and ideal for endless summer days by the pool or sea.

Bath Mat
This bath mat features a sculpted texture that’s a delight for the feet and pleasing to the eye. It measures 60 x 80 cm and weighs 600 gms.

Bath Towel
A medium-sized bath towel that adds more colour to your daily routine. Measuring 60 x 120 cm and weighing 450 gms, it’s light enough to dry quickly and reduce laundry loads.

Colours
Our towels are produced in small batches using industry surplus yarns, so colours may vary. However, we always maintain a consistent overall palette, ensuring all items from a particular colour family pair well together. The towel you receive may differ slightly from those shown in photos, but it will match the general tone.

Care Instructions
All Odds & Ends textiles can be washed at 30°C on the cotton program with similar colours. Use organic colour-safe detergent to keep hues vibrant. Line drying will help prolong the life of your items. For terry products—especially those with a velour finish—an occasional tumble dry on medium heat will help maintain softness without needing fabric softeners.
In areas with hard water, a rinse with citric acid or vinegar can soften both towels and your washing machine.

Extra Fluffy
This towel is made with long, fluffy terry loops, offering extra softness. These loops are delicate when new, so avoid contact with jewellery or belts. If a snag does occur, don’t pull it—just trim it with sharp scissors.

Each item comes with a cardboard hangtag or sleeve designed by Rachel Sender.

editions & colours

The odds & ends editions are produced in batches. The factory collects remainders and I use these colours to create a new design which is then produced. That exact design is only a start, along the production the left overs run out and are replaced with similar colours. Therefor the images you see in the photo’s are an indication of what the towels look like, but there’s small variations within the batch.

striped hem

Recognize a Odds & Ends towel by it’s signature striped hem.  Each item in the collection comes with this hem that is made on a jacquard machine.

production in Portugal

The Odds & Ends textiles are produced in Portugal with 100% cotton industry remainders. That’s small batches of yarn that are left over from other productions.

designs

I made several designs with the idea that they get only more interesting if we use more colours, read: even the smallest remainders. The designs are produced in several similar colours and even within the edition there’s differences, because when colours run out they are replaced with new ones and that’s where coincidence takes over :D!

label for hanging

All items are designed to dry quickly and come with a label for hanging.
