Wereldwijven ateliers was founded in 2011 with the aim of creating a space where women from diverse cultural backgrounds, who risk falling behind in society, can engage in creative and meaningful activities. Over the years, it has grown into a centre with an embroidery works, sewing workshop and a shop located in a beautiful historic townhouse in the old center of Dordrecht. More than eighty women from around 27 countries currently collaborate on handicraft and sewing projects, share life experiences, practice Dutch, and support each other with daily tasks. Wereldwijven ateliers creates products for its own label—such as decorative cushions and carries out small-scale production work for brands like Foekje Fleur.

All products in this page are made from ‘seconds’ quality Odds & Ends, they use the goods parts of products that didn’t pass quality control to sew pouches, bunting and wash gloves.
