Odette’s Day at the Beach
This special beach towel is the third collaboration between odds&ends, designed by Foekje Fleur and artist Odette Muijsers. Sharing a love for colour and nostalgia, they created a playful design for all ages. The towel tells the story of an endless summer day at the beach. Full of the highlights that were as big for us as they are for children today. Foekje and Odette carefully selected the colours from leftover yarn so you can wrap yourself in sweet memories wherever you are.

Beach Towel
Our 80 x 160 cm beach towel is terry-woven on a jacquard loom and made from extra heavy 600 gms cotton. It’s soft, absorbent, and ideal for endless summer days by the pool or sea. Please note the size is slightly smaller than edition #10, so it’s easier to carry to the beach ;).
Colours
Our towels are produced in small batches using industry surplus yarns, so colours may vary. However, we always maintain a consistent overall palette, ensuring all items from a particular colour family pair well together. The towel you receive may differ slightly from those shown in photos, but it will match the general tone.
Care Instructions
All Odds & Ends textiles can be washed at 60°C on the cotton program with similar colours, however, we recommend to wash them at 30 to make the last longer. Use organic colour-safe detergent to keep hues vibrant. Line drying will help prolong the life of your items. For terry products—especially those with a velour finish—an occasional tumble dry on medium heat will help maintain softness without needing fabric softeners. In areas with hard water, a rinse with citric acid or vinegar can soften both towels and your washing machine.
Snags
This towel is made with long, fluffy terry loops, offering extra softness. These loops are delicate when new, so avoid contact with jewellery or belts. If a snag does occur, don’t pull it—just trim it with sharp scissors.
Each item comes with an adorable sleeve with Odette Muijsers artwork.
The odds & ends editions are produced in batches. The factory collects remainders and I use these colours to create a new design which is then produced. That exact design is only a start, along the production the left overs run out and are replaced with similar colours. Therefor the images you see in the photo’s are an indication of what the towels look like, but there’s small variations within the batch.
Recognize a Odds & Ends towel by it’s signature striped hem. Each item in the collection comes with this hem that is made on a jacquard machine.
The Odds & Ends textiles are produced in Portugal with 100% cotton industry remainders. That’s small batches of yarn that are left over from other productions.
Each item comes with a hang tag or sleeve designed by Rachel Sender. On the back you find more information about the project.

I made several designs with the idea that they get only more interesting if we use more colours, read: even the smallest remainders. The designs are produced in several similar colours and even within the edition there’s differences, because when colours run out they are replaced with new ones and that’s where coincidence takes over :D!
All items are designed to dry quickly and come with a label for hanging.
